Don’t Do These Things With Your Goalie – LGR Podcast 20

LacrosseGoalieYouth

You want your lacrosse goalie to develop, right? Pretty sure the answer is yes or else you wouldn’t be here.

Well, unfortunately for the youth goalies out there, some lacrosse coaches are unknowingly hurting the development of their lacrosse goalie.

It’s not on purpose of course. Coaching a youth team is hard, especially when you have little experience in lacrosse or coaching youth.

Even if you have lacrosse and coaching experience, managing all the different elements can get tricky and often times the lax goalies are the first to be neglected. That’s unfortunate because in this goalie coach’s biased opinion, goalies are the most important position on the field.

Why neglect your most important position?

In this podcast I go over a list of 12 ways that lacrosse goalie development is stunted.

No guest, no interview. Just you and me for 30 minutes talking about how not to stunt your goalie’s growth. Let’s do it.

Think of this as a NOT to do list when working with your goalie. When planning your practices refer to this list to make sure you’re not doing any of these things.

Anything you think I missed? Would you add a 13th item?  Leave me a comment down below.
