I first learned about Ross Blumenthal after his performance during the First Round of last year’s NCAA Tournament against Notre Dame.

The unseeded Drexel Dragons almost pulled off the upset on the heels of Ross’ amazing 15 save performance against the Irish.

The native of Baltimore, MD arrived at Drexel in 2019 and took over starting duties in the cage early in the season before leading the Dragons to the CAA title game against Towson.

During his freshman year, Ross would go on to be named to the CAA’s All-Rookie team and a 2019 College Crosse All-Freshmen Honorable Mention.

In 2021, Blumenthal started every game in the net for the eventual CAA champion Dragons finishing the year second in the CAA in goals-against average and fourth in save percentage.

But as mentioned earlier, Ross saved his best lacrosse for the end of the season.

He was named to the CAA All-Tournament team after making 11 saves against Hofstra in the title game and made a season-best 15 saves and allowed just nine goals in the NCAA first-round matchup against Notre Dame.

Now heading into his fourth year at Drexel, Ross is looking to improve on last season and help take the Dragons back to the CAA title game.

Ross joins the show today to discuss earning the starting role at Drexel in his freshman year, dropping to your knees on low saves, breaking down film from his famous game against Notre Dame, and much more!
