Lacrosse Goalie Resources: The 7 Best Websites For Lax Goalies
If you’ve landed on Lax Goalie Rat, odds are you’re in search of the best lacrosse goalie information available online.
The good news is there is plenty of great lacrosse goalie resources available on the web if you know where to look.
Today I’m going to talk about the 7 best websites for lacrosse goalies to help learn their craft.
Inside Lacrosse was one of the first to start telling the story of lacrosse. Founded in 1996 their now current website is full of useful articles about what is going in the sport of lacrosse.
In addition to news and such about the professional and college game, they also have tip articles covering varying aspects of lacrosse.
Inside Lacrosse has the most active forums when it comes to the sport of lacrosse. They even have a forum dedicated to us goalies that contains specific information and questions related to our position.
At the time of this posting there are over 4,500 different threads with a total of over 55,000 different posts just in the Goalie Forum.
They also have many forums dedicated to different areas of the game like: Rules and Officiating, Coaching Forum, High School Forum, etc.
Inside Lacrosse is my favorite of all the websites for lacrosse goalies!

Similar to Inside Lacrosse, Lax Power is a collection of articles, news, tips, and resources dedicated to the game.
There is lots of useful info on Lax Power however they’re a little light on goalie specific content.
They also have forums however they’re not as active as the Inside Lacrosse forums and there’s no dedicated goalie forum.
However, Lax Power is still a great source for lacrosse information and worth checking out.

Coach Edwards has been blogging about the position of goalie for years.
His site is full of great content and is a great resource for new and experienced goalies.
Much of the site is in video form which is great if that’s your preferred method of learning how to play lax goalie. In addition to free content Coach Edwards also has a variety of products for sale to help you improve your goalie game.

Mind The Crease is run by two brothers – Andrew and Chris Dymski. They started their site for the same reasons I started Lax Goalie Rat – to give back to the game that has given us so much.
Similar to Coach Edwards, these fellas have been blogging for years and have amassed a fair share of great content on their site to help lacrosse goalies learn the position. They even offer a free guide on the perfect lacrosse goalie stance that you can pick up.

I’m humble as an author and a goalie coach but I really think I’ve worked hard to provide the best content available for young lax goalies to learn the position.
I spend hours researching and perfecting each post to ensure that LaxGoalieRat.com is the best lacrosse goalie resource possible.
There are several well researched posts that I put a lot of effort into creating. I hope you agree that you’re getting some value out of this site and that its one of the best websites for lacrosse goalies.

The home of self-proclaimed GoalieMan, this is the site of Coach Jon Weston.
While the site is desperately in need of a design makeover there is some good content on here. One of the first lacrosse goalie books I read was from Jon Weston and he’s a great resource for coaches and goalies alike.
This book and the site offers tips on how to coach and play lacrosse goalie. It contains sections on basics, attitude, advanced play, drills and a unique new section on grading the goalie and planning improvements.

Reddit has a wealth of information about everything and lacrosse is no exception.
Check out the lacrosse specific sub-reddit for tons of questions and answers about lacrosse in general but also specific to the lax goalies.
Questions posted to this sub-reddit typically get responses fairly fast. So its a great resource for tying to learn more about lacrosse and specifically goalies.

You can always attend a goalie camp to get great coaching on the right techniques to play goalie in lacrosse. However, that’s not always an option.
If you look, this a great deal of information available for free. If you don’t have a lacrosse goalie coach you must take personal responsibility for your development as a lacrosse goalie. That starts with doing the research online.
Finding the best tips and the best drills to turn yourself into a championship caliber goalie.
This post outlines my 7 favorite sites and ones that I encourage all new lacrosse goalies or coaches check out when they’re in need of additional drills or tips to dominate in the cage.
Here are the sites one last time (in the event you’re too lazy to scroll up like I usually am, haha)-
Until next time! Coach Damon
