From Alabama to Georgetown’s starting goalie with Anderson Moore – Episode 240

On today’s episode of the Lax Goalie Rat Podcast, I’m joined by Georgetown goalie Anderson Moore.
Anderson is going into his sophomore year at Georgetown, after leading the Hoyas his freshman season.
Anderson had an amazing freshman season with a .519 save%. He also led his team to a very surprising upset against #1 Notre Dame. Anderson also had 42 groundballs which was 3rd best on the team.
He has also received some accolades including being the Big East Freshman of the Year and an Honorable Mention to the USILA All-America Team. He is the first freshman at Georgetown to receive USILA All-America recognition.
Before attending Georgetown Anderson attended Briarwood Christian Academy. There he was a varsity starter for 4 years. In addition, he had 625 career saves and 6 goals. He was ranked the No. 8 in the incoming freshman class by Inside Lacrosse.
He was three-time All-State from 2021-2023. He was also 2023 New Balance All American, 2023 Nike All American, 2023 Adrenaline All American, and played for the lacrosse club Thunder.
